I agree fully. I love playing AC without care of rankings. Unfortunately, achieving ranks in AC4 means plenty, since you need them to increase your FRS memory. A helpful tip, using mostly EN weapons can get you an S Rank because you won't be charged for it(evil laugh).

There are times people play for rank, and times people play for awesomeness. This is an example of awesomeness. Playing it cool instead of being quick, conservative, and using little or no weaponry. Which is usually required for an S rank.

only think i dont like, is how they have that sideways boost. before in earlier games, u must dodge missles. now u only have to press button

i didn't think the larger mech/fortress/weapon gonna be stronger as there size first the large it mean easy to be target and shoot second take long time to build use more funds third it going to be dust in any minute
