this title is misleading, so dont put down roddick for lacking integrity though it isnt your fault. This was at the arthur ashe stadium on kids day, they put on a show for the kids. So they're both great people :p

Never seen this before... it's not done at any of the other major events is it? Looks a bit gimicky to me.

r u fuckin serious??
barneyfifty (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
i think they were both at it. novak embarrassed roddick a little, and if anything andy was the one being sensitive, as he really milked the fact that novak takes his time before serving. if djokovic was pissed he would've mentioned the world rankings... (and THAT could have been considered petty)

The U.S. Open is an amazing sporting event and it is always incredible to watch, it is unforunate that some players lack integrity and respect for there opponents and what is worse is that such behavior is encouraged by the public. Overall Novak is the superior player, which was proven in their quarter final match when he won despite tremendous adversity (the disrespectful crowd).

i thought roddick was being a cock, no need to get personal in front of kids. I dont think novak was too sensitive at all, i think he handled it quite well

Both great players, good game, shame Roddick let his nerves get the better of him. There is no need to be personal about a sportsman just because your loyalies lie with the other.
They both spoke about it after and agreed that Djokovic was abit too sensitive to the remark and Roddick was being his funny self. Leave it be.
The public will always support their own, everyone does... |
